Who of Them is the Bad Guy?
While the US's Unlawful Internet Gambling Act is broadcasting the news with stories of money and the Internet, a lot of people are asking themselves what the true difference between online gambling and online commerce is.
Imagine two people sitting in their offices risking money on Internet, while one of them is violating the law, the other one is not. One of these men is a day dealer, and with no respect to how you take this, that businessman is risking his funds for the possibility to have an interest of each transaction. I suppose that both men are using the Internet for the same reason. Nevertheless, the one that is gambling online is at the time participating in an illegitimate business. Why illegal? For the reason that Government of the USA is not getting a cent of profit from the online gambler. It only levies tax money from the day e-commerce-dealer.

Those common men are not high-class stock brokers, and they do not have any certificate - despite all this they do not have any official difficulties to carry on their illegal business.
As a matter of fact, the one single actual differing feature between day trading and online gaming is the scale of funds the US Government makes out of the industries: Day Trading online = lots of money; Gambling on Internet = not a single cent and lots of online casino bonuses for gamblers. Today they say that the US Congress passed the anti-online gambling ban for the same reason that the government is not getting any revenues of the millions spent every day.
