Teamwork
Human beings interact in three primary ways: conversing, transacting and collaborating (in a positive meaning of the word).
If you want to make the right choice with regard to software technology, you have to get to know the differences that exist between those interactions.
Conversational interaction is about exploring new facts or creating relationships. An instance of a transactional interaction is when you get into the supermarket and get some goods for your cash.
Collaborative interactions are structured in such a way that the main objective of the participants is to change the collaboration entity from something unstable and intangible, for example, an idea, into a useful solution, for example a blueprint.
Collaborative software is related to groupware applications that allow people communicate information and work as a team on various tasks.
The strong point of these tools lies in the ability to allow participants to see action plans, share documents, be updated on projects, manage schedules, optimize business processes, be duely notified of any new objectives and things they are involved in. You may come across a number of approaches to making these applications useful: scheduling events, papers and projects, facilitating business processes and coordinating work of several departments or even firms.
