Charles Fey developed the first automatic slot machine in 1887 and he is believed to be the inventor of it. There were several slot machines that were spread between various gambling institutions. The first great row of slot machines was produced when Charles Fay made a contract with Mills Novelty Company. Mills Liberty Bell was the first model. The first fruit symbol slot machine was named Operator Bell. That was created by Mills Company 3 years later. The first slot machines had a great weight, so it was a quite complicated task to move the slot machine from one casino to another. Mills Company had to work out that complexion, so in 1915 they designed the wood cabinet slot machine.
