The trial between telecommunication corporations
Are you confident in there are 60 seconds in a minute? I was shocked to know that for some prepaid phone card developers a minute - just 36 seconds. A lot of well-known corporations asserted that it can't be any fair competition if one of rivals has unfair benefit before the start of a competition. In 2007 IDT/UTA (Union Telecard Alliance) iniciated a suit against some companies-providers of prepaid phone cards alleging erroneous advertisement and misleading commerce practices.
It is difficult to believe, but several dishonest card producers give only about 60% of minutes, which were prepaid for. Last year Total Call International and IDT/UTA was blamed for illegitimate procedures by the group of phone corporations that comprised IDT Telecom Inc. and LLC. Earlier IDT/UTA intiated legal procedure against the group of defendants for three times. Epana Networks, Inc., Dollar Phone Corp. and connected companies, and Locus Telecommunications, Inc are also involved into the assize. IDT/UTA's suit against the residuary defendants is still persisting in federal tribunal in Newark, New Jersey. Recently, one of softswitch manufacturers made known his advanced terms of paying the phone services. This new method allows every consumer to define the size of the minute that suits him the best, and the company would keep back minutes form the account and the user will have an opportunity to examine precisely how many minutes were kept back and how many are left.
